Lofoten Landscape, 2016, 12×36, Acrylic on Canvas, Not for Sale
Inspired by the landscape of the Lofoten Islands, I painted a landscape of Eggum. Eggum is on the northern side of the islands, and was a former Nazi Radar station during World War 2. Snøhetta created a wonderful intervention in the landscape using gabion walls to play on both the radar tower and the mountains beyond. It was simply a wonderful melding of architecture and landscape.
