Literary Lines, 2017, 12×12, Acrylic on Canvas, $250
I spent lots of time in I.M. Pei’s Cleo Rogers Memorial Library as a kid, and one of the things that always struck me is the use of regulating lines/grid in the design. Everything is very ordered like most of Pei’s work, but the way light plays off of the waffle slab and brick gives the building its poetic moments.
